Incredibly beautiful, I love the style.
I think it captures a really lonely side of Naraku, his character had to be conflicted at some point in the story. His true wish was (always) for Kikyo to return ‘his’ feelings, to have her heart to call his own. But he was also an incredibly twisted man who lusted for nothing but power, which would easily be granted by tainting the shikon jewel.

I liked the scene, a lot. But it really irked me that they changed, “I wanted to protect her forever” to “she says she’ll protect us” (or whatever it was???)
